Whitney Houston is officially on the comeback trail after several months of near silence.
According to sources close to the singer and Page Six, Whitney Houston will make an official debut at Clive Davis' annual Pre-Grammy party in February.
While the "Heartbreak Hotel" singer's songlist has not been confirmed, it is believed that she will perform several cuts from her new album.
According to Clive Davis, "The process has begun".
"We've always said we were looking towards the end of the first quarter of (2009). I do feel good about the material we have and what's been going on."
Ne-Yo, John Legend, Akon, R. Kelly and Will. I. Am have all been linked to the new album.
Whitney Houston's as-yet-untitled album is now due for release in March !

CLIVE DAVIS STUGGLED TO FUND PRE-GRAMMY GALA: Usual sponsor backed out due to economy; NARAS steps in, but for how long?

*The New York Post is reporting that the next pre-Grammy party thrown by Clive Davis may be his last.
Last week, the record mogul announced he'd throw the $1 million-plus gala next month, not with its usual sponsor - Davis' company, Sony Music Group - but with the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS), which hands out the Grammys.
An insider told Page Six: "Sony told Clive it wasn't going to pay for the party this year. It was a bad year for them, and [Sony chief] Howard Stringer feels the party doesn't help sell any albums and only serves to promote Clive's ego . . . Clive then tried to get his own sponsors but couldn't, so NARAS stepped in. But forget about next year. It's over."
Last year, Alicia Keys, Fergie, the Foo Fighters and Leona Lewis performed at the legendary affair. This year, Whitney Houston, a Davis discovery in the '80s, is scheduled to belt songs from her comeback album, which is due in March.
Whitney Houston is Back, New CD in March Says Clive Davis

The music industry's hottest party in town -- Clive Davis' Annual Pre-Grammy Party -- is set to be the golden ticket this year, with word that Whitney Houston will start her official comeback at the bash.
The untimely Ms. Houston is set to perform brand new tracks completely live from her upcoming album. Whitney's mentor, Clive Davis, also announced the new album will be due in March. Is anyone else freaking the Shasta out a little?
Who knows what her new sound is like (Clive?) Who knows if she's still got it (Clive?) Who knows if she's gonna have some mid-crack breakdown (probably not Clive.) Either way, I am going to be on the phone all day trying to figure out how my ears can get a peak at her new work. The poopy part is, it's a private party and the place will be flanked with paparazzi and fans, so that probably means the public folk like us have got no shot at this glittertastic event.
Also performing will be Jazmine Sullivan, Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson and possibly (still rumored) Jennifer Hudson.

Davins:
To Eric:
ReplyDelete我還是會期待惠媽今年真的會推出新唱片....
她這2.3個月刻意漸少曝光,希望她是真的有在修身養性。
發片時,這懶女人應該要努力宣傳唱片一下~~~~
