Matthew Krauthamer gives “being the biggest fan” a new meaning. He was such a huge fan of Whitney Houston growing up, that he purchased the late singer’s New Jersey home!
According to Zillow, Krauthamer paid $1.5 million for the mansion, which hasn’t been lived in for years. Because it is still outfitted in Houston’s style, Krauthamer isn’t planning to change anything about the estate, aside from refreshing the paint and a few appliances.
“The house in and of itself is absolutely stunning,” he said in an interview. “Wooded acres, gated property, two-floor pool house, two Jacuzzis. The house is really an incredible home.”
The 13,000-square-foot house, built in 1987, the year "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" topped the charts, sits on five acres, features five bedrooms and six bathrooms and is decorated in true '80s style, “with round, sunken rooms, skylights, white couches and glamorous walls of windows,” according to Zillow.
Krauthamer has been living down the street from the mansion and has listed his soon-to-be former home for $1.3 million.
